Saturday night I got some unexpected free time and was able to sit down for a good session of Eve. It was quiet in terms of the war with the enemy in our constellation but all docked up, so I decided to head to high sec and work on getting my new Dominixes and Falcon set up.
While I was there, one of the Corp directors asked if I wanted to hit the test server and play with our capital ships. It wasn't the top of my list of things to do but I have a golden rule in Eve: Do Things With People Wherever Possible. And this qualifies.
I learned some valuable things in the process:
- joining the MOVEME channel to get teleported to FD-MLJ in Syndicate where all the testing occurs
- helped a Bug Hunter with a graphics bug test
- joined in a Capital zone free for all where I was able test my logistic transfer arrays, tank, and drone flights against various targets to see what worked.
So it may not have been the most productive night in game, it wasn't wasted time and I had a good time shooting the breeze with one of my bosses.
