Whose Emperor Is It Anyways?

I got together with Thunder and finally got my newly painted Inquisitorial Agents out for a game against his Novitiates.

The battlefield was on Bheta-Decima and the mission was to extract resources from the two machines, and control the centre at the end of the game.

The Agents setup in as much cover as I can muster.

The Novitiates prepare to advance.

On the left flank, the Deathworld Veteran and Kreig Veteran move up, planting beacons for my Tac Op as they go.

Using some initiative dashes, a team of three Novitiates take the large tower.

Some agents tried to sneak up the middle, the Purgatus flamed them to death, and the duelist with his scoped plasma pistol returned the favour.

After one truning point, the Novitiates dominate the centre of the board.

Melta gunner moves up but he will be killed before he can do anything.

The Condemor from the high ground is making me wish I had a nuke.

Still planting those beacons.

The Vox operator runs up and extracts some McGuffin fluid.

Servitor with plasma cannon getting directions from plasma gunner. He would be charged by the Mother Superior and while he took 10 points of his 11 health, he reached out and crushed her head with his servo claw.

Trying to actually shoot something with the Servitor.

The Deathworld verteran died to gunfire, but the Krieg Veteran pushed on.

The Mystic and Interrogator try to approach the tower of doom, and die in the attempt.

The Servitor still trying and failing to kill things with his plasma cannon.

With the Inquisitorial Agents dead or dying, the surviving Novitiates secure the battlefield.

Control of that tower proved to be the winning strategy as the Agents could not push them off all game. Final score was something like 15-8 but it was a fun tilt. I'll have to plot my revenge.
